About Waipapa Pine
Waipapa Pine, a division of Fletcher Building, operates as a reputable supplier of premium sawn timber products in Northland, with facilities in Waipapa and Whangārei. The company maintains a strong commitment to providing employment opportunities to residents of Northland and is currently embarking on an exciting expansion phase.
Position Summary
We are seeking dependable, long-term individuals to join our Production Teams as Mill Hands at the Waipapa Sawmill located near Kerikeri. The core responsibilities include manually pulling, stacking, and managing timber within the mill to facilitate daily timber processing activities. The role involves working four days a week from Monday to Friday, with weekends off. Standard working hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Candidate Profile
- Physically robust and capable of performing heavy manual labor, including constant lifting and stacking of heavy timber throughout the workday.
- Previous experience in sawmill operations is advantageous; candidates with proven experience in physically demanding manual roles will be highly regarded.
- A dedicated approach to adhering to workplace health and safety standards is essential.
- Must possess a valid Full Driver's License, reliable transportation, and the legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Consistent employment history and willingness to commit to long-term employment.
