Middleweight Photographer

Overview

ProCook is seeking a talented Middleweight Photographer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you'll manage daily photography activities for both online and print media, delivering creative, accurate, and technically exceptional work under tight deadlines. You will produce outstanding photographic projects alongside high-level retouching that supports the brand's marketing needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless and timely workflow.
• Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, ensuring punctual project completion.
• Provide support and mentorship to the Junior Photographer, assisting their professional growth.
• Maintain communication via emails, Trello, and Microsoft Teams.
• Ensure correct naming and organized filing of all photos in the photo library and SharePoint system.
• Participate in planning and logistics for campaign shoots, contributing creative ideas with Senior Creative staff.
• Assist with planning seasonal campaigns under guidance from Lead or Senior Photographer.
• Take full responsibility for smaller campaign shoots focused on holidays or specific categories, aligning with overall creative direction.
• Capture campaign and web imagery for diverse outputs including websites, emails, packaging, retail, and store graphics.
• Produce photography that consistently aligns with brand guidelines and style briefs while meeting deadlines.
• Stay current with photography trends, technologies, and creative techniques, demonstrating original artistic flair.
• Order and prepare food props, independently style shots showcasing both the product and recipe.
• Assist hands-on with image creation, studio upkeep, including cleaning surfaces, products, and packing down equipment after shoots.
• Cover Senior Photographer's responsibilities when needed and support Junior Photographer's workload upon management request.
• Use problem-solving skills effectively to analyze information and make informed decisions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old due to handling knives and cooking-related tasks.
• Possess a full driving license.
• Demonstrated expertise as a commercial photographer experienced with product, lifestyle, and editorial styles.
• Strong understanding of both studio and location lighting and the creativity to develop fresh and innovative setups.
• Hold a media qualification plus at least 1 year commercial studio experience, or alternatively have a minimum of 3 years commercial studio experience without such qualification.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and Premiere, with advanced image retouching skills.
• Excellent IT capabilities, especially in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly organized with a logical mindset and keen attention to detail.
• Experience working accurately under tight deadlines with a high-quality focus.
• Demonstrable ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external agencies when requested.
• Exceptional time management and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work proactively, independently, and collaboratively within a small team.
• Interest in cooking is advantageous.

Working Conditions

The role requires 37.5 hours per week, operating on a hybrid basis with 4 days at the Gloucester office and 1 day remote. This schedule is mandatory and not flexible.
