Role Overview

We seek a motivated and experienced mid-level graphic designer to join our team in Brunswick East, Victoria. This role requires a highly skilled designer who can independently manage projects from initial concept through to final production with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Create diverse visual assets including branding, marketing materials, digital and print content, and campaign visuals.
• Interpret briefs and conceptual ideas into refined, brand-compliant designs.
• Collaborate closely with the creative director on all design projects, adhering to timelines managed by the studio coordinator.
• Work alongside marketing, product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive outputs.
• Offer creative insights and design solutions that enhance project outcomes.
• Maintain consistency and quality across all brand touchpoints.
• Confidently present and articulate design ideas to the creative director and fellow design team members.

Requirements and Skills

• 3 to 5 years of professional graphic design experience.
• A compelling portfolio demonstrating a variety of projects including branding, print, digital campaigns, and web design, emphasizing problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in key design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; familiarity with Figma is advantageous.
• Comfortable integrating AI tools like Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT, and Claude to support ideation, conceptual development, and efficiency, with keen awareness of originality, brand alignment, and copyright issues.
• Basic knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively collaborate with development teams.
• An excellent understanding of typography, layout, colour theory, and visual narrative techniques.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
• Attention to detail and a strong dedication to maintaining design quality.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience with motion graphics or fundamental video editing skills.
• Background in branding and identity design initiatives.
• Experience functioning within fast-paced, multicultural team settings.
