This position involves managing day-to-day functional support and minor configuration tasks within core Microsoft Dynamics GP modules, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, and Fixed Assets. The role requires creating SmartLists, troubleshooting user problems, and liaising with engineering teams or partners regarding small enhancements.
Primary Duties
- Provide Level 1 to Level 2 application support, address tickets, triage bugs, and assist during post-go-live hypercare.
- Oversee configuration settings such as user roles, workflows, and SmartLists, while preparing Standard Operating Procedures documentation and conducting user training sessions.
- Develop basic reports using SmartList and Excel; collaborate with Business Intelligence teams on SQL Server Reporting Services and Microsoft Power BI reporting needs.
- Support financial operations activities including month-end closings, reconciliations, and year-end processes.
Required Qualifications
- Between one to three years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or a comparable ERP system, covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger modules; familiarity with SmartLists is essential.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fundamental skills in SQL for reading and modifying queries.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with Management Reporter, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Microsoft Power BI is advantageous.
- Exposure to eConnect or basic data migration processes is preferred.
Domain Experience
- Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report processes along with fixed assets lifecycle understanding.
Additional Expectations
- Awareness of compliance and security standards including Segregation of Duties; adherence to change control processes and identification of control gaps to be escalated appropriately.
- Availability to cover shifts with some overlap in U.S. Pacific Time zone hours (approximately 2–4 hours) and willingness to participate in a light on-call rotation supervised for after-hours incident handling.
- Familiarity with ticket management tools such as Jira or ServiceNow; experience with tools like SmartConnect or KingswaySoft for simple data imports; and basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps for managing scripts and SQL.
- Preferably some involvement with Microsoft Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 migration activities, including data cleansing, User Acceptance Testing, and post-cutover support.
