Job description

Role Overview

We seek a skilled Micro Frontend (MFE) Developer to advance front-end systems that support Global and Capital Markets platforms. The position emphasizes close collaboration with backend teams to build highly scalable, efficient, and interactive applications used in trading environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement Micro Frontend solutions tailored to Global Markets applications.
  • Create reusable, high-quality user interface components leveraging React or Angular alongside TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Connect frontend modules with backend Java/Spring Boot microservices via RESTful APIs and event-driven communication.
  • Construct dashboards, operational workflows, and live interfaces for trading, pricing, risk management, portfolio positions, profit and loss, and market data visualization.
  • Collaborate intensively with traders, business analysts, solution architects, and backend developers to convert business requirements into robust technical implementations.
  • Ensure all applications comply with banking standards regarding performance, security, scalability, fault tolerance, and audit requirements.
  • Participate in CI/CD processes, automated testing frameworks, deployment activities, and production problem resolution.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive practical experience designing and developing Micro Frontend architectures.
  • Proficient in building frontend solutions using React or Angular with TypeScript, JavaScript, along with strong HTML5 and CSS skills.
  • Solid understanding of Java-based backend technologies including Spring Boot and Microservices design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience integrating UI components with REST APIs, WebSocket protocols, and other event-driven mechanisms.
  • Knowledgeable in Module Federation technology, reusable component frameworks, and contemporary frontend build tools.
  • Familiarity with software version control (Git), continuous integration and deployment pipelines, containerization using Docker, and orchestration on platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Experience developing enterprise-grade applications requiring high throughput, minimal delay, or real-time data processing.
  • Strong grasp of application security principles including authentication and authorization.

Desirable Additional Expertise

  • Background in Global Markets, Capital Markets, Treasury, or Investment Banking technology sectors.
  • Understanding of financial products such as foreign exchange (FX), fixed income, interest rates, credit instruments, equities, or derivative products.
  • Knowledge or exposure to trading processes, market data dissemination, pricing models, position tracking, profit & loss analysis, or risk assessment applications.
  • Practical experience working within Java Microservices ecosystems specifically tailored for banking technology.
