Role Overview

The Data Services team at Weightmans is instrumental in enabling data-driven decision making by supporting reporting, analytics, data quality, and business intelligence across the firm. This team delivers valuable insights that enhance operational efficiency and client service.

The MI Analyst position involves managing data governance, generating management information and reports, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders across the company. Collaborating closely with various teams, the role aims to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and effective utilization in alignment with strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee governance and coordination for client reporting activities.
• Develop new reporting solutions for internal use and clients, enhance current reports, and provide daily support.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Microsoft Power BI.
• Apply standardized methods in report creation and deployment.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Promote correct usage, understanding, and interpretation of management information within the business.
• Operate according to established processes and controls for information management, aiding in their development and ensuring controlled handling of changes.
• Work proactively with Business Managers to recommend improved reporting techniques and ensure data quality consistency.
• Contribute to firm projects requiring input from the Data Services department.
• Participate in data science and analytics projects, providing domain-specific expertise.
• Analyze and interpret data to deliver insights and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Monitor and enhance data quality, governance, and reporting standards continuously.
• Identify ways to automate, streamline, and improve reporting workflows.
