About the Company
Hazloc Heaters, a division of Innovair Solutions, specializes in producing industrial and explosion-proof heaters, thermostats, and disconnect switches designed for hazardous and demanding environments worldwide.
Position Overview
We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Metal Fabrication Labourer to become part of our active Welding and Fabrication unit. This role is based in our Northeast Calgary facility and requires someone experienced in metalworking with a strong commitment to quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret detailed instructions for work processes accurately.
- Operate hand tools such as grinders and sanders effectively.
- Use cut-off saws to cut metal and aluminum materials.
- Clean, inspect, and verify components for defects and quality control.
- Prepare materials for welding by grinding and beveling metal surfaces.
- Utilize gravity-fed paint guns proficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of all equipment.
- Support maintenance and repair activities of fabrication machinery.
- Assist welding team with operational support related to welding tasks.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 1 to 3 years of directly relevant metal fabrication experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Detail-focused approach to fabrication tasks.
Working Conditions
- Work takes place in a workshop environment with possible exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.
- Manual dexterity is essential, with the ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
- Strict adherence to wearing personal protective equipment as required in the workshop.
- Compliance with company safety policies and procedures is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
Remuneration includes an hourly wage along with an annual bonus contingent upon company profitability. Health benefits are provided, complemented by company-matched RRSP contributions.
