Crobstacle Ventures LLP seeks a motivated Backend Developer proficient in Node.js and Express.js to join their expanding tech team. The role centers on building backend systems that support AI-driven products, SaaS platforms, web applications, and internal tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and uphold backend services using Node.js and Express.js frameworks.
• Create, design, and integrate RESTful APIs to support application functionality.
• Work extensively with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization.
• Implement core backend features including authentication, authorization, and data validation.
• Integrate external APIs and third-party services.
• Write modular, maintainable, and reusable backend code.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs related to APIs and database interactions.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements.
• Support testing phases, deployment processes, and ongoing system maintenance.
• Use version control systems such as Git and GitHub effectively for collaboration.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs and technical modifications.
• Proactively identify and address technical challenges.

Required Skills

• Solid understanding of JavaScript programming language.
• Foundational hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Familiarity with REST API concepts and HTTP protocols.
• Basic knowledge of database principles and operations.
• Experience or awareness of PostgreSQL or MongoDB database technologies.
• Introduction to authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Comfort with Git and GitHub workflows.
• Skill in debugging and troubleshooting code.
• Understanding asynchronous programming in JavaScript.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and taking responsibility for work.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or knowledge of TypeScript.
• Competence in writing SQL queries and familiarity with PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of ORM tools like Prisma or Sequelize.
• Knowledge of JWT-based authentication.
• Familiarity with Supabase platform.
• Basic understanding of AWS or cloud deployment concepts.
• Exposure to containerization with Docker.
• Experience in API testing using Postman.
• Awareness of fundamental application security principles.
• Experience integrating AI-related APIs.
• Basic familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React.js or Next.js.

Candidate Eligibility

Applicants should demonstrate a real interest and capability in backend development. Fresh graduates with completed backend projects involving APIs and database management are encouraged to apply. Interns and professionals with relevant experience are also welcome. Candidates must showcase at least two relevant backend projects or equal practical experience. Emphasis is placed on practical skills, problem-solving aptitude, willingness to learn, and ownership rather than formal certifications alone.

Work Environment and Expectations

Selected candidates will operate full-time on-site in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Remote work options are not provided.
