Position Overview

We are looking for a driven Merchant Acquisition Specialist to join our In-store Operations team. This role focuses on acquiring new business partnerships and supervising Tamara’s in-store marketing presence at partner outlets. The position demands active fieldwork involving visits to both new and existing merchants, ideal for a motivated individual aiming to thrive in a vibrant startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively seeking out and engaging potential merchants at their physical locations, presenting our services and the benefits of partnering with Tamara.
  • Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with merchants by understanding their specific needs and positioning Tamara’s solutions accordingly.
  • Conducting face-to-face demonstrations of products or services, addressing inquiries, and facilitating new merchant partnerships.
  • Gathering market intelligence by reporting competitor activities, merchant feedback, and assessing the visibility of in-store marketing materials to support company strategy and product improvement.
  • Assisting merchants through the application and onboarding process to ensure a seamless integration and a foundation for lasting collaborations.

Experience and Skills

  • Candidates should have completed at least an internship or cooperative training in sales or business development, with a maximum of two years' experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with merchants and internal teams at various levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM tools is advantageous.
