Role Overview
This full-time, on-site role calls for a Merchandiser who acts as a liaison between production units, sales teams, and customers to ensure knitwear collections fulfill quality benchmarks, adhere to delivery schedules, and align with buyer specifications. Daily activities comprise managing order progression, tracking sample approvals, preparing cost analyses, and keeping accurate records of products and orders. The role demands collaboration with internal departments to optimize product assortments, provide sales support through product insights, and ensure timely communications with retail partners. Additionally, the position involves observing market trends, aiding in product display strategies, and nurturing sustained buyer and retailer partnerships.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for engaging with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Thorough understanding of sales and retail dynamics to grasp store requirements, product performance, and merchandising tactics.
- Marketing expertise to assist in product positioning, promotional activities, and trend evaluations.
- Strong organizational skills coupled with effective time management to juggle multiple orders, deadlines, and maintain precise documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and familiarity with basic data management tools.
- Prior experience in apparel merchandising or a related domain is preferred.
- Educational background preferably includes a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Textile Engineering, Marketing, or an allied discipline.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced work setting.
