Merchandiser - Full Time Evening Shift

Overview

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Ottawa to contribute to delivering health, beauty, and convenience services while placing the customer experience at the heart of your work.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and manage backroom stock following Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) guidelines.
• Utilize PDT and MMS digital systems daily to complete assigned tasks.
• Handle product returns and execute Exit Strategy tasks as directed.
• Maintain expert knowledge of product inventory, placement, and expiration dates in assigned sections.
• Uphold store standards regarding visual merchandising, trends, and consumer-friendly, shoppable product displays.
• Receive merchandise according to established store policies and maintain documentation for goods receipt and returns.
• Keep the backroom clean, orderly, and well-organized adhering to organizational principles.
• Support store management in sustaining quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Present a clean, professional appearance aligned with uniform and dress codes.
• Proactively offer assistance to customers on the sales floor.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, store standards, and loss prevention regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong planning abilities with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Efficient, organized, with attention to neatness and detail orientation.
• Flexible and adaptable to dynamic sales floor environments.
• If applicable, accuracy and efficiency in cash handling and customer transactions.

Experience Required

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with using cash registers.
• Ability to maintain organized records.
• Detail-oriented with capacity to work independently and self-motivate.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to safely climb ladders when necessary.

Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $17.95 to $19.65, depending on experience, knowledge, and location.
