Job description

Job Location and Schedule

This position is based in Kitchener, Ontario, and surrounding areas. It is a permanent full-time role requiring 40 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing new vendor-managed inventory agreements by organizing supply rooms, creating proper labeling, and installing vending machines at customer locations.
  • Restock shop supplies via automated dispensing machines or other vendor-managed inventory methods to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Offer on-site product and equipment support and advice to customers.
  • Serve as the primary sales contact for Tenaquip while on customer sites, fostering relationships and addressing customer needs.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and make necessary adjustments to inventory records.
  • Operate vending machine software and scanning devices efficiently for inventory tracking and management.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of vending machines to ensure smooth operation.
  • Respond promptly to sales requests and accurately prepare and input sales quotes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in customer service roles, demonstrating ability to interact well with clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel to manage communication and documentation.
  • Demonstrated capability to resolve problems and handle technical aspects related to the role.
  • Product knowledge related to vending and industrial supplies is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to various customer sites.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision, managing one's own time and tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities and maintain schedules.
