Merchandiser

About the Role

The Merchandiser position supports the Chain Retail Division within the Johnson Brothers Maverick Beverage Company, focusing on ensuring products are well stocked, displayed, and orders accurately delivered across the designated market territories.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent communication with key decision makers to foster support.
• Deliver orders accurately and conduct product check-in at retail accounts.
• Stock shelves and create displays to maximize product visibility.
• Apply standardized merchandising protocols including correct product placement, stock rotation, pricing, and display of point-of-sale materials.
• Effectively communicate with management and customers to resolve order and shipping inquiries.
• Meet targets and operational objectives promptly and efficiently.
• Provide photographic documentation of displays, cold box setups, or shelf rearrangements upon request.
• Document daily and weekly account visits for management records.
• Adhere to schedules for work, appointments, and meetings punctually.
• Utilize all available point-of-sale tools to support sales initiatives.
• Concentrate on merchandising fundamentals including display size, shelf location and standards, cold boxes, counters, and promotional spaces.

Additional Details

• Must be able to travel within assigned geographic areas as required.
• Possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and meet company auto insurance standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma is a minimum educational requirement.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in warehouse operations; inventory control experience is advantageous.
• Forklift certification considered a plus.
• Capability to lift and carry cases weighing over 40 pounds.
• Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
• Goal-oriented with a proven history of sales success.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain and improve customer and retailer relationships.
• Regular and dependable attendance is essential, encompassing willingness to work varied shifts.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
• Use of the TripLog app for mileage tracking is mandatory if mileage reimbursement is granted, ensuring IRS compliance.
