Role Overview

The Merchandiser is tasked with planning, organizing, and upkeeping product displays to drive sales and ensure a positive shopping environment. Daily duties include inventory level assessments, stock rotation, shelf replenishment, and verifying correct pricing and labeling. This role requires close collaboration with store management and sales personnel to execute promotions, track product performance, and modify displays according to customer preferences and seasonal shifts. Additionally, the Merchandiser engages directly with customers, handles product inquiries, and provides support in sales activities when needed. This is a full-time position based on-site in Hazyview, Mpumalanga.

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective communication skills facilitating teamwork and customer interactions.
• Experience in customer service emphasizing shopper assistance and professional inquiry responses.
• Knowledge of sales and retail processes including product familiarity, basic selling methods, and store operations.
• Marketing insight to aid promotional efforts and design attractive product displays.
• Meticulous attention to detail in merchandising, pricing accuracy, and inventory monitoring supported by strong organizational ability.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and handle product lifting as part of merchandising duties.
• Fundamental competencies in numeracy and computer systems for inventory management and reporting.
• Prior merchandising or retail experience is beneficial.
