Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Merchandise Coordinator, you will ensure all merchandise receiving and display standards are met, guide associates for efficient processing, and uphold excellent customer service, contributing to a well-organized store environment.

• Deliver outstanding customer experiences by engaging effectively with patrons
• Uphold company values by fostering honesty, integrity, and confidentiality
• Coordinate merchandise delivery, prioritizing stock placement on the sales floor
• Train and mentor team members on merchandising and processing standards
• Ensure all merchandise is correctly tagged, secured, and sorted
• Communicate closely with store coordinators to streamline merchandise flow
• Supervise associate task completion aligned with store plans and priorities
• Track team productivity and provide coaching for improvement
• Manage back stock organization and rotation for smooth replenishment
• Maintain merchandising concepts and signage according to brand standards
• Keep backroom orderly, clean, and compliant with safety and recycling policies
• Communicate priorities and progress effectively to management and team members
• Encourage positive feedback culture and recognize achievements
• Collaborate with management to address training needs enhancing associate skills
• Ensure adherence to all labor laws and store policies
• Promote store credit and loyalty programs
• Support shrinkage reduction initiatives and safety protocols
• Carry out any other assigned duties

Candidate Profile

• Flexible availability including nights and weekends
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations
• Effective team player working well with supervisors and peers
• Physical capability to lift heavy merchandise, with accommodations if necessary
• Proven ability to train and develop others
• Minimum one year of retail experience and six months in leadership roles

Job Location and Compensation

Position based in Kokomo, IN, at 2138 East Blvd, USA TJ Maxx Store 0600. The starting hourly wage ranges from $14.25 to $14.75 depending on skills and qualifications.
