Merchandise Allocator

About the Role

As Billini continues its dynamic growth phase, we are seeking a dedicated Merchandise Allocator to join our team at our Marrickville headquarters. This role is suited for an individual who is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about stock management within the fashion footwear sector. Reporting directly to the Senior Merchandise Planner, this position involves significant administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal inventory and SKU levels are maintained across retail outlets.
• Manage stock movements, transfers, markdowns, and investigate any stock discrepancies efficiently.
• Assign opening and replenishment stock orders appropriately.
• Conduct size curve analysis to optimize stock allocation.
• Prepare and facilitate retail store stocktakes.
• Make informed decisions concerning stock allocation and product mix.
• Collaborate and communicate regularly with retail stores and internal departments such as Warehouse, Marketing, Product, and Production teams.
• Undertake retail store visits to foster strong relationships and encourage open communication between store teams and the Merchandise department.
• Generate weekly and ad hoc reports to assist in stock management and decision-making.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar merchandise allocation role.
• Strong administrative capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for handling and analyzing data and spreadsheets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with retail and internal departments.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy, fast-moving work setting.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine interest in fashion.
• Experience with Apparel 21 software is a plus but not mandatory.
• Preferred but not required experience in the fashion footwear industry.
