Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical MEP Engineer specializing in Mechanical Design to join our Riyadh team. The role demands designing, analyzing, and documenting mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for commercial and residential developments. Close coordination with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines is essential to ensure effective and compliant mechanical solutions that adhere to project needs and regional regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical system designs including HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety for diverse building projects.
• Create comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and perform calculations using industry-standard software like AutoCAD and Revit.
• Complete load calculations, duct sizing, and conduct mechanical system performance analysis to guarantee efficiency.
• Collaborate integrally with architectural and structural teams to incorporate mechanical designs seamlessly within building frameworks.
• Review and approve equipment submissions, shop drawings, and technical documents from contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi Arabian and GCC building codes and standards.
• Engage in project meetings, design reviews, and on-site inspections to supervise construction progress and resolve design issues.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts promptly to maintain project timelines.
• Maintain well-organized project documentation and accurate records of all design decisions and modifications.
• Assist senior engineers and project managers in successful project delivery within prescribed deadlines and specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in MEP mechanical design or a related engineering field.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical system design and documentation.
• In-depth understanding of HVAC design principles, including load calculations and equipment selection.
• Strong grounding in plumbing and fire protection system design methodologies.
• Proficiency in performing mechanical load calculations and system performance analyses.
• Exceptional ability to prepare technical documentation and drawings.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian and GCC regional building codes and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
• Good organizational and project coordination capabilities.
• Effective communicator with strong English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Preferred skills: BIM coordination and modeling experience; knowledge of energy modeling and sustainable design; project management experience or related certification; expertise in advanced Revit functionalities and MEP plugins.
