MEP Engineer

Role Overview

This position involves managing and overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities for high-rise residential and commercial construction projects. The engineer will ensure all work aligns with approved drawings and specifications, prioritizing quality, safety, and schedules.

Primary Duties

• Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, and drainage system installations.
• Collaborate closely with civil, structural, and architectural teams to coordinate MEP works.
• Evaluate various drawings including shop, builders’ work, and coordination plans for MEP systems.
• Inspect sleeves, openings, conduits, embedded services, and shafts prior to concrete pouring.
• Guarantee high standards in installation quality and adherence to specifications and norms.
• Manage inspection processes, system testing, commissioning operations, and addressing defects.
• Track contractor progress with regard to workforce, materials, and site activities.
• Tackle onsite issues promptly and document daily progress and inspections.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure MEP work is completed within the stipulated timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant background in construction of high-rise structures.
• Familiarity with MEP systems, site coordination, drawing interpretation, and quality assurance practices.
• Experience in Mivan construction and coordinating MEP for tall buildings is advantageous.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
