About the Role
The position of Medical Representative in the Pharmaceuticals Division entails promoting and selling a range of pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals within a specified territory. The role centers on building robust professional relationships, delivering product knowledge, and driving sales growth to align with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to healthcare providers such as doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals in the designated area.
- Develop and sustain strong connections with key healthcare professionals to facilitate product adoption.
- Conduct informative presentations and seminars to educate healthcare professionals about product features and benefits.
- Collect market and competitor intelligence, uncovering emerging trends and new opportunities.
- Consistently achieve or surpass sales objectives within the assigned territory while complying with company policies.
- Organize territory management activities including appointment scheduling, daily planning, and maintaining detailed records of sales and engagements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, and sales management teams to execute strategic initiatives.
- Maintain adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing pharmaceutical promotions.
- Represent the company at various medical conferences and events to network and promote product lines.
- Provide comprehensive product training to healthcare providers to enhance understanding and proper usage.
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify growth areas and inform strategic decisions.
- Promptly respond to customer questions and concerns to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
- Assist marketing with promotional campaigns and develop tailored sales materials for the target market.
- Stay informed on industry changes, pharmaceutical advancements, and competitive landscape.
- Carry out market research to gather insights on customer preferences and trends to aid product and marketing development.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant pharmaceutical laws and industry guidelines in all sales activity.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications, indications, and clinical research data.
- Manage inventory of product samples and promotional materials efficiently to support healthcare professionals.
- Accurately document sales and client interactions through CRM tools and provide regular performance reports to management.
- Offer feedback to management about market dynamics, customer demands, and competitor movements to shape future strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success in pharmaceutical sales with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
