Role Overview
The Medical Oncologist will deliver specialized medical care to participants involved in Haraakah | حركة's wellness programs who require oncology support. Key duties include assessing, diagnosing, and managing cancer-related health issues, developing individualized treatment strategies, coordinating chemotherapy and radiation therapies with associated healthcare providers, and supervising patient progress while addressing side effects according to established medical protocols. The post requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate medical advice into wellness activities, contributing to health education, and ensuring precise, confidential medical documentation. This position is full-time and based on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong medical background with clinical experience in internal medicine or related areas.
- Advanced oncology knowledge, including cancer biology, staging processes, and multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
- Clinical expertise in treating solid tumors and hematological cancers.
- Capability in chemotherapy and radiation therapy management, involving planning, side effect handling, and patient guidance.
- Possession of a medical degree (MD or equivalent), completed residency, and board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology.
- Authorization or eligibility to obtain a medical license to practice in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly and empathetically explain complex medical concepts.
- Experience collaborating with wellness, sports medicine, or occupational health teams is a plus.
- Dedication to ethical, patient-focused treatment following evidence-based guidelines.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are highly advantageous.
