Role Overview
We are seeking a certified Medical Coding Trainer specializing in Evaluation & Management (E&M), Emergency Department (ED), Surgery, and Inpatient Prospective Diagnosis-Related Group (IPDRG) coding. The trainer will play a crucial role in educating and mentoring coders, ensuring high standards in coding accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions specializing in E&M, ED, Surgery, and IPDRG coding specialties.
- Evaluate trainee coding performance and provide constructive critiques.
- Perform coding audits to determine areas for improvement and training needs.
- Maintain adherence to industry coding standards and guidelines.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects and fulfill client-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- CPC, CCS, CIC or equivalent certification is mandatory.
- At least four years of meaningful experience in medical coding.
- Strong proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Deep understanding of coding practices related to E&M, ED, Surgery, and IPDRG.
- Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, and developing educational content such as training materials and refresher courses.
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills suited for training environments.
Preferred Expertise
- Previous experience in a medical coding trainer capacity.
- Exposure to healthcare BPO/KPO sectors.
Additional Information
The position is based in Noida with a day shift schedule, and it is a full-time role. Candidates must hold at least a graduate degree to be eligible to apply.
Salary range for this position is between INR 500,000 and INR 1,400,000 annually.
