About the Role

Join Parsons as a Media Specialist in Qatar, where you will craft compelling multimedia content to highlight progress on major infrastructure and construction projects. This role involves managing media coverage, stakeholder communication, and showcasing key project milestones and achievements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, coordinate, and produce media content emphasizing project milestones, events, and activities.
• Develop media plans aligned with client requirements and community outreach initiatives with media coverage strategies.
• Design storyboards for short films or reels on current construction activities.
• Monitor social media channels and newspapers to track coverage, public feedback, and emerging issues, responding appropriately and timely.
• Capture professional photography and videography of site activities, events, inspections, and completed work.
• Prepare a variety of visual communication materials including presentations, videos, graphics, and updates for clients and project teams.
• Maintain an organized digital archive of media assets with proper metadata.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and teams to identify important media coverage opportunities.
• Support development of project success stories, before-and-after visuals, and progress reports to reflect achievements.
• Assist in organizing media coverage for client and VIP visits, ceremonies, and official events.
• Ensure all media complies with client standards, confidentiality, and approval protocols.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders on reviewing and approving media before external release.
• Contribute to internal communications and content for approved social media platforms.
• Manage forward scheduling for upcoming milestones and events requiring media attention.
• Perform other related duties to support the successful delivery and closure of projects.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field.
• Professional experience in media, communications, public relations, or content creation, especially in construction, infrastructure, or engineering sectors.
• Strong photography, videography, video editing, graphic design, and presentation preparation skills.
• Proficiency with media and design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalents.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational capabilities to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness and capability to work on active construction sites following safety protocols.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Prior involvement with major infrastructure or construction projects in Qatar.
• Experience collaborating with government agencies, engineering consultants, contractors, or project management firms.
• Arabic language proficiency advantageous.
• Experience creating project documentaries, milestone videos, executive presentations, and before-and-after visual materials.
• Understanding of social media content development and corporate communication standards.
• Strong creative judgement with attention to detail, able to translate technical info into engaging content.
• Familiarity with project closeout documentation and legacy material preparation.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment managing multiple priorities effectively.
