Role Overview
As Media Lead for the MIA region at KFC, you will spearhead media activities, working alongside global and regional teams to enhance media planning, buying, and performance. Your core responsibility is driving media effectiveness to support business growth across the MIA markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive media strategy across all channels tailored for the MIA region.
- Oversee media buying, planning, and optimization ensuring consistency with global brand directives.
- Serve as the key regional point of contact for media initiatives, aligning local practices with KFC’s worldwide strategy.
- Partner with franchisees to collaboratively develop, adapt, and execute media campaigns that meet local needs.
- Maintain strong collaborations with internal stakeholders such as brand, digital, commercial teams, and external media agency partners.
- Lead the regional efforts of the KFC Global Media Center of Excellence to ensure media standards and quality benchmarks are met.
- Review and approve annual media plans from various markets to ensure adherence to COE standards.
- Detect underperforming markets and devise strategies to enhance media efficiency and effectivity.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to monitor KPIs, glean insights, and refine media strategies.
- Drive innovation through leading test-and-learn projects, especially in advanced media markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 7 to 10 years of extensive experience in media planning, strategy, and buying, ideally within an agency or franchised brand setting.
- Proven expertise in managing integrated media campaigns spanning multiple countries.
- Strong familiarity with franchised/multi-market operational structures.
- Deep understanding of key media metrics, digital channels, and media optimization techniques.
- Experience managing relationships with external agencies and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in retail, food service, or quick-service restaurant sectors is advantageous.
- Analytical thinker with a strong data-driven decision-making capability.
- Adept at collaborating in dynamic, fast-moving global environments.
