Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical / HVAC Engineer to join our team and manage the mechanical and HVAC systems specifically within a hospital setting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree specializing in Mechanical Engineering
- Must possess active registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
- Minimum of five years professional experience with a focus on hospital HVAC and mechanical systems
- Comprehensive understanding of ventilation requirements for operating rooms, intensive care units, and isolation rooms
- Familiarity with pressure cascade mechanisms and HEPA filtration systems
- Expertise in chilled-water plant operations and medical gas system management
- Knowledge of relevant standards including ASHRAE 170, HTM/NFPA 99, CBAHI, and JCI
Key Duties
- Oversee operation and maintenance of chillers, air handling units (AHUs), pumps, plumbing systems, boilers, and steam equipment
- Manage medical gas plants ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards
- Implement and control planned preventive maintenance (PPM) programs
- Regulate environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and pressure within hospital environments
- Support infection control protocols through effective HVAC system management
