Mechanical Engineering Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join as a contractor in a fully remote capacity. This role requires the creation of authentic technician workflow tasks that mirror real-world scenarios. Responsibilities include designing workflows, setting up tests, handling instrumentation, collecting data, and diagnosing failures.

Key Responsibilities

• Create realistic technician workflow assignments involving test setup, instrumentation, data gathering, and fault analysis.
• Gather, combine, and develop technical data sets such as test logs, calibration records, sensor outputs, and failure documentation sourced from real laboratory or production environments.
• Establish precise solution strategies by interpreting test results and recommending informed subsequent steps.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• At least four years of practical experience working in laboratory, test, or production settings within mechanical engineering technology.
• Possession of an associate degree or an accredited trade certificate in mechanical engineering technology or a related field.
• Deep familiarity with instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, and prototype testing processes.
• Proven capability to produce comprehensive technical documentation on test protocols, results, and failure modes.

Additional Information

Compensation ranges between 30 to 70 USD per hour. Applicants are advised that the interview will be conducted via an AI-mode system. Preparation resources are available for candidates.

Eligibility: Individuals holding a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Mechanical Engineering may apply.
