Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will spearhead research and development efforts for proprietary automated machinery. This includes conceptualizing and designing the mechanical aesthetics, structural frameworks, and mechanisms integral to the equipment.

Key Duties

• Create detailed 3D models and carry out simulations to support design accuracy and functionality.
• Design necessary tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Select appropriate motors, pneumatic devices, and standard parts to devise comprehensive motion schematics.
• Develop and provide all essential technical documentation such as process manuals, engineering drawings, technical standards, and bill of materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate closely with the supply chain team to monitor and manage the production of bespoke components.
• Offer expert technical assistance during the commissioning and debugging phases of system implementation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or closely related disciplines, complemented by a minimum of three years' experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient with both 2D and 3D CAD design software.
• Understanding of machining and assembly fundamentals; skilled in mechanism design, and capable of conducting stiffness and strength analyses, enabling independent management of medium to complex mechanical tasks.
• Preferably experienced with robotic system integration and automation projects; experience in biomedical, chemical, or medical device sectors is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and effective teamwork competencies.
• Open and willing to undertake international travel for training purposes.
