Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our National Building Services team located in Auckland or Christchurch. The role encompasses designing and delivering mechanical service solutions across diverse projects including hospitals, aged care, commercial, residential, retail, and industrial sectors. You will build and maintain strong client relationships while providing practical, high-performance mechanical designs.

Role Responsibilities

• Design and manage mechanical services projects using Revit and other contemporary design software.
• Coordinate own project workload and communicate directly with clients to ensure project success.
• Collaborate with various disciplines to develop integrated building designs.
• Conduct on-site construction monitoring and provide project support.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Mechanical Engineering degree accredited by the Washington Accord or equivalent.
• Have at least 5 years of post-graduate experience within a building services consultancy environment.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in mechanical building services design.
• Proficient with Revit 3D design and drafting tools.
• Experience using thermal modeling software, preferably IESVE.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain client relations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Exhibit a positive, proactive, and client-focused attitude.
• Willingness to pursue Chartered status if not already held.

Additional advantageous skills include experience with Green Star and/or NABERSNZ certifications, healthcare or hospital mechanical design, and building services hydraulics, although these are not essential.
