Job Overview
Motability Operations Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanical Electrical Trim (MET) Technician to join their bustling refurbishment centre located in Coalville. This is a permanent part-time position offering a continuous workflow in a modern workshop equipped with the latest tools and diagnostics. The role also provides exposure to Electric Vehicles (EV) and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) technologies, with training available.
Key Responsibilities
- Dismantling and reinstalling mechanical, electrical, and trim components on vehicles.
- Performing strip and fit tasks to prepare vehicles for cosmetic repairs.
- Utilizing digital job cards for work management and parts ordering.
- Assisting with fault diagnosis, vehicle diagnostics, and ADAS calibrations.
- Maintaining high reconditioning standards across a fleet of modern vehicles.
Work Schedule and Location
This role requires presence at the Coalville site five days a week, working 45 hours weekly across 9-hour shifts scheduled between 06:30 and 18:00. Specific shift patterns will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation Package
- Basic salary up to £37,900 per year.
- Performance bonus up to 15%.
- 15% pension contribution.
Candidate Qualifications
Applicants should be detail-oriented professionals committed to high-quality vehicle reconditioning, working collaboratively within a cosmetic team environment.
- Demonstrated strong experience in Mechanical Electrical Trim work and strip & fit operations.
- Competency in vehicle diagnostics.
- Possession of a full UK manual driving license.
- Experience with ADAS technology or electric vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
