Mechanical Draftsman

Job Overview

We seek a seasoned Mechanical Draftsman to join our team in Ghaziabad, specializing in heavy machinery manufacturing. The candidate must possess a solid background in mechanical components such as machine gears and an aptitude for producing precise technical drawings using AutoCAD.

Key Duties

• Create detailed 2D mechanical drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Draft designs related to heavy machinery, including gears, shafts, assemblies, and other mechanical elements.
• Accurately measure machines and components, translating those measurements into exact technical illustrations.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, technical specifications, and dimensions effectively.
• Develop fabrication and manufacturing drawings with clear dimensions and tolerance specifications.
• Update and revise existing drawings to reflect changes as needed.
• Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to verify the practicality and accuracy of drawings from a manufacturing standpoint.
• Keep organized records of all drawings and any amendments made.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Draftsman role.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Hands-on experience with heavy machinery and industrial equipment drawing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine gears and mechanical parts.
• Strong grasp of measurement methods, dimensions, fits, and tolerances.
• Ability to interpret and understand mechanical and engineering drawings clearly.
• Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication procedures.
• Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
• Educational background including ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical qualification.

Preferred Profile

Candidates with demonstrable experience in gear manufacturing, industrial heavy machinery, and detailed mechanical component drafting are highly favored.
