Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

PLANSEE INDIA, located in Mysore, Karnataka, is looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 2 to 3 years of experience to join their manufacturing team. This position involves machine design, new product development, reverse engineering, and delivering engineering solutions that aid production and maintenance. Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop innovative machines and equipment.
• Create detailed mechanical designs and engineering drawings for machines and components.
• Work alongside Maintenance and Production teams to generate engineering solutions addressing operational issues and enhancing processes.
• Apply reverse engineering techniques to existing machines and parts to facilitate improvements, replacements, and optimizations.
• Maintain precise technical documentation, including design specifications and engineering records.
• Support machine modification projects and initiatives aimed at improving productivity and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance of designs with quality, safety, and operational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• 2-3 years experience in machine design and development within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong grasp of mechanical engineering principles, machine components, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient communication skills, collaborative team player attitude, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Technical proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, CATIA V5, basic knowledge of SolidWorks and Siemens NX.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and a basic understanding of SAP ERP systems.
