Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

This position requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least two years of experience in mechanical design engineering. The candidate will engage directly with clients on-site to obtain hand sketches and convert these into detailed mechanical designs using 2D and 3D CAD software. Strong understanding of engineering calculations such as tolerance, dimensions, and Bill of Materials is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate proactively with clients at both on-site and factory locations to gather design requirements.
• Create and execute mechanical design plans utilizing CAD tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Prepare production drawings aligned with manufacturing needs and coordinate regularly with production teams to update project designs.
• Manage time effectively and maintain organized project documentation.
• Collaborate effectively within teams to meet project milestones.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency in CNC programming.
• Expertise with measuring instruments including Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, Pin Gauge, Thread Gauge, Slip Gauge, Radius Gauge, and Angle Protector.
• Hands-on experience with workshop machinery such as Turning Centers, Cylindrical Grinders, Boring VMC/HMC, Drilling Machines, ID & OD Grinding Machines, and other machining and polishing equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Tools and Equipment Familiarity

The candidate should have practical knowledge of various precision tools and machining devices essential for detailed mechanical design and validation.
