Mechanical Construction Manager

About the Role

We urgently seek a seasoned Mechanical Construction Manager for a confidential, large-scale Water Treatment/RO/Desalination project based in Doha, Qatar. This role demands complete ownership of site execution management, with direct reporting to senior leadership. The project is already fully operational with a substantial workforce onsite, including engineers, supervisors, quantity surveyors, HSE personnel, and skilled labor.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily site activities ensuring productivity and progress targets are consistently met.
• Lead and coordinate the full site team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
• Engage professionally with the client, consultants, and all stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Supervise installation of RO systems, vessels, Dual Media Filters (DMF), piping, and diverse mechanical equipment.
• Manage associated activities such as scaffolding, lifting, loading/unloading, and heavy equipment operations.
• Track completed work volumes accurately and maintain documentation for timely billing and invoicing.
• Identify and resolve any delays, bottlenecks, or site limitations promptly to sustain workflow.
• Coordinate efforts among engineering, construction, quantity surveying, health and safety, and document control teams.
• Maintain professional correspondence with the client ensuring transparent communication.
• Submit clear and comprehensive reports on progress and productivity directly to senior management.
• Assume responsibility for scheduling, productivity, project milestones, and overall deliverables.

Required Expertise and Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience in mechanical construction and site execution management.
• Proven track record leading large construction teams, preferably on projects with 250–300 personnel.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
• Competency in managing installations related to RO treatment systems and associated mechanical works.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
