Job Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical and Process Engineer to join our Energy Team in Bangalore, India. This role involves contributing to engineering projects for power generation facilities and water/desalination plants. Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering projects related to power generation plants (such as combined cycle, thermal, cogeneration, or balance of plant designs) and/or desalination projects like SWRO.
- Academic qualifications including B.E., B.Tech, or M.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Proven expertise in both Basic and Detailed engineering phases: preparing P&IDs, line sizing, design calculations, equipment datasheets, and control narratives.
- Experience integrating gas turbines, HRSG, and steam turbine packages from external consortiums.
- Strong knowledge of process and systems design considerations including design calculation and documentation.
- Proficient in tendering processes, material requisitions (MR/RFQ), and technical bid evaluations (TBE).
- Skilled in preparing specifications and datasheets for mechanical and balance of plant equipment like tanks, pumps, and compressors.
- Experience reviewing suppliers' documentation, as well as vendor development and management.
- Advanced proficiency in English communication.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams, demonstrating technical rigor.
- Autonomous work ethic combined with an innovative approach.
