About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Automotive Service Technician specializing in passenger cars and light vehicles. Your responsibilities will include routine maintenance, complex mechanical and electronic diagnostics, and repairs. The ideal candidate is well-versed in both domestic and international car models and proficient with contemporary computerized diagnostic tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize specialized automotive scan equipment to identify trouble codes, electrical faults, and diagnose issues affecting engine or drivetrain performance.
• Perform regular vehicle upkeep such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire servicing, wheel alignment, and brake system maintenance.
• Repair or rebuild car-specific components including fuel injection systems, suspension, steering, exhaust, HVAC, and cooling units.
• Inspect and service transmissions and drivetrain assemblies, including clutches, CV axles, differentials, and wheel drives.
• Conduct test drives before and after repairs to ensure issues are resolved and vehicles are roadworthy and safe.
• Complete and submit comprehensive digital multi-point inspections to document vehicle conditions and advise on recommended maintenance or safety repairs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of contemporary passenger car designs such as front-wheel and all-wheel drive systems and their components.
• Advanced competency with OBD-II diagnostic tools, multimeters, and automotive oscilloscopes for fault detection.
• Meticulous adherence to torque settings and safety protocols, especially with low-clearance vehicle lifts.
• Flexible ability to work across various vehicle makes including Japanese, European, and domestic brands.

Educational and Professional Background

• High school diploma or vocational training in Automotive Technology.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in automotive repair shops or dealerships.
• Possession of a valid and clean driver’s license necessary for driving customers' vehicles.
