Meat Cutter - Full Time Position

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter responsible for precisely cutting and preparing various meat products adhering to company quality and portion control standards. The role supports store profitability by managing meat handling, stocking, merchandising, and maintaining hygiene and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut, weigh, and prepare steaks, chops, and assorted meat items for sale.
• Create value-added meat products following established procedures.
• Trim, bone, and portion carcass sections into specific cuts as required.
• Follow recipes to grind meat, arrange trays, and manufacture sausage and other processed items.
• Price, wrap, and label meat products with accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain visually appealing displays and efficiently stock shelves.
• Support inventory tracking and communicate supply needs to management.
• Ensure department cleanliness while following safety and food safety regulations.
• Engage customers proactively with selling suggestions and detailed product knowledge.
• Assist across various departments as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred candidates will have at least 1 year of retail or meat cutting experience, including apprenticeship roles.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend relevant documents.
• Possess basic mathematical skills and knowledge of meat products.
• Detail-focused and equipped with strong customer service skills.

Physical Requirements
