Key Duties

• Maintain the meat department's cleanliness, orderliness, and proper product placement to ensure it is always presentable for shoppers. Routinely rotate stock and remove items that are expired or unsellable.
• Verify accurate pricing and signage on all products, following established processes for ordering, clearance sales, markups, markdowns, and labeling.
• Uphold stringent food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, correct food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli products such as meats, cheeses, and fried chicken by safely operating equipment like slicers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers. Complete customer orders and replenish display cases accordingly.
• Comply strictly with health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a sanitary, safe, and tidy working environment.
• Exhibit flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, supporting smooth store operations and consistent customer service.

Challenges to Anticipate

• Effectively manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, particularly during overnight hours, maintaining focus and energy throughout shifts.
• Handle significant restocking and recovery duties efficiently and accurately within time constraints.
• Perform physical activities such as extended standing, bending, lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, as well as repetitive stocking and organizing duties with careful attention to standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.70.
