Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain the meat department's cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning to ensure a customer-ready environment at all times.
• Regularly rotate inventory and discard expired or unsellable products.
• Accurately price and label all merchandise following established procedures for ordering, clearance, and markdowns.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature regulation, use of calibrated thermometers, appropriate handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken, operating slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other equipment safely.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic workspace by following all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support store needs.

Challenges and Physical Requirements

• Handle a fast-paced workload efficiently, managing overnight shifts and planning to stay energized and focused.
• Support high volume restocking and recovery tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Conduct repetitive stocking, organizing, and zoning activities with diligence and consistency to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position begins at $16.45 per hour.
