Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the meat department’s organization and cleanliness to ensure it is always ready for customers, including regular restocking and removal of expired or unsellable items.
• Verify pricing accuracy and display labeling; follow established procedures for ordering, markdowns, clearance, tagging, and labeling of products.
• Adhere strictly to food safety standards and cold chain management, such as temperature checks, thermometer calibration, correct food handling, product rotation, and respecting sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli products like meats, cheeses, and fried chicken using tools such as slicers, roasters, fryers, managing display cases, and fulfilling special customer requests safely.
• Follow all company health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working different shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, supporting consistent branch operation and high-quality customer service.

Challenges

• Manage a significant workload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining energy and focus throughout night shifts by effective planning.
• Handle high volumes of restocking and recovery with accuracy and timely execution.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting goods or supplies weighing up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and sometimes up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Conduct repetitive duties like restocking, zoning, and product tidying with close attention to detail and consistency, upholding branch standards.
