Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the department clean, organized, and properly arranged to guarantee readiness for customers at all times, including rotating stock regularly and discarding expired or unfit products.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and clear signage for all merchandise by following procedures for ordering, markdowns, markups, and labeling.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and cold chain protocols, such as temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, proper handling, product rotation, and compliance with expiration/sell-by dates.
• Take customer orders and prepare deli items like meats, cheeses, and fried chicken using equipment such as slicers, ovens, and fryers safely to stock displays and fulfill special orders.
• Follow health and safety policies to maintain a hygienic, safe working environment.
• Be adaptable to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store operations.
• Effectively manage high task volumes in a fast-paced environment, including overnight hours, ensuring restocking and recovery tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting supplies up to 50 lbs, and repetitive stocking and organizing with consistent attention to detail.

Compensation

The minimum wage for this position begins at 16.45 CAD per hour.
