Key Responsibilities

• Keep the meat department neat, orderly, and well-arranged so it is always ready for customers. Regularly rotate stock and remove any expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure all products are accurately priced and labeled, following set procedures for ordering, discounts, pricing adjustments, and signage.
• Adhere strictly to food safety standards and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring, calibrating thermometers, proper food handling, and observing shelf life and expiration dates.
• Take customer orders and prepare deli items such as meats, cheeses, and fried chicken, utilizing equipment like slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers safely and efficiently.
• Follow health and safety policies to uphold a safe, hygienic, and clean working environment.
• Be adaptable with work hours, including a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs and ensure smooth store operations.

Challenges

• Manage high volumes of tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment, especially during overnight shifts, sustaining energy and focus.
• Handle physically demanding activities such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting supplies weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing products while maintaining consistent attention to detail to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.45.
