Job description
Role Overview
Amazon seeks an experienced HR Regional Partner for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region to provide expert HR consultation and support to managers, promoting a positive workforce experience. The individual will possess deep knowledge of local labor laws, HR policies, and business practices, serving as a trusted advisor while collaborating with HR centers of excellence across benefits, compensation, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide people managers through managing performance cases and analyze related data trends to inform business strategy in partnership with relevant HR colleagues.
- Lead workplace investigations and handle employee relations processes such as disciplinary and performance improvement programs, coordinating with legal and ER teams.
- Offer guidance on HR policy implementation, regularly reviewing and adapting local HR policies to ensure legal compliance and contextual appropriateness.
- Ensure local labor law compliance by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, managing labor inspections, maintaining documentation, and advising on corrective actions.
- Act as a subject matter expert on HR tools, processes, and programs; design and conduct manager education initiatives to enhance leadership effectiveness.
- Support change management by managing employee programs and aiding HR and business leaders to enhance employee experience.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of local labor legislation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related discipline.
- Strong business acumen coupled with problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and French.
- Ability to work with HR and business leaders to prioritize and align on strategic decisions.

- Experience in employee relations matters.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to bring valuable insights to the team and business.
