Job description

About the Role

The Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland seeks an inspiring and dedicated full-time Mathematics Teacher to join its teaching team permanently. This role involves teaching Mathematics and Statistics to students from Years 7 to 13, incorporating delivery of the New Zealand Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP). The teacher will foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere within a collaborative faculty, monitor student progress, and provide meaningful feedback aimed at helping every student achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Mathematics and Statistics education confidently to Years 7-13 students.
  • Implement curriculum plans aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum and IB MYP.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Create an engaging, inclusive learning environment within the faculty’s collaborative culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience teaching Mathematics and Statistics across Years 7–13.
  • Familiarity or enthusiasm for teaching within the IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Excellent communication skills to support monitoring and feedback of student development.
  • Collaborative mindset focused on student achievement and wellbeing.

Additional Information
