Position Overview
The role of Math Tutor at FcC is a full-time, remote opportunity dedicated to delivering exceptional math education through live virtual sessions for young learners aged 5 to 18. Responsibilities encompass planning and facilitating engaging lessons, clarifying mathematical ideas effectively, and customizing instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning preferences and grade levels.
Tutors will evaluate student progress, provide meaningful feedback, assign relevant exercises, and monitor advancement continuously. The position also involves accurate record-keeping, collaborating with the academic team to enhance teaching materials, and liaising with parents or guardians to support students' educational achievements.
Required Qualifications
- Strong command of Mathematics including fundamental arithmetic and algebraic concepts.
- Proven experience in tutoring, particularly online tutoring for school-aged children.
- Excellent communication abilities that enable clear explanation of complex topics and foster active learner involvement.
- Capacity to establish an inclusive, encouraging, and interactive remote learning environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with digital teaching platforms and basic educational technology tools.
- Patience, flexibility, and an approach focused on learner needs.
- Experience in preparing students for examinations or standardized assessments is considered a plus.
