Materials Planner

Job Overview

The Materials Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless flow of materials to production plants by overseeing delivery schedules and coordinating with various departments and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and confirm material delivery schedules align with production demands.
• Monitor the progress of purchase orders from reception through purchasing, inspection, and inventory to guarantee timely delivery.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers to ensure punctual delivery of materials and products.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to track the status of materials undergoing customs clearance.
• Maintain and update weekly reports reflecting material delivery status.
• Liaise with the finance department to follow up on payment procedures.
• Compile weekly purchase request (PR) tracking reports, documenting the journey of materials from PR to warehouse delivery.
• Collaborate with procurement and end-user teams to establish supply requirements.
• Use the SAP system to record and monitor the receipt of supplier goods.
• Ensure comprehensive and precise documentation of material quantities, freight costs, and customs clearance fees prior to goods receipt (GR).
• Follow up with logistics on completion of production, dispatch details, and transit progress.
• Prepare detailed weekly and monthly delivery reports that emphasize on-time deliveries, delays, and any significant issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess between 5 to 7 years of experience in logistics or industrial operations, preferably in a similar industry.
• Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Demonstrate high proficiency in the English language.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, demonstrating strong command over the software.
