Material Handler

Position Overview

The Material Handler role at MGS Manufacturing Group involves managing the organized receipt, storage, issuance, and logging of materials moving to and from a high-volume production floor. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this entry-level position is based in Leixlip, County Kildare and requires working 12-hour shifts across days and nights.

Primary Duties

• Manage and coordinate material flow to and from production in alignment with scheduling and shipping priorities.
• Maintain precise inventory control by labeling, placing, and tracking stock with accurate documentation and assisting with cycle counts.
• Operate heavy machinery such as counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet trucks safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and moving items.
• Conduct pre-use inspections on equipment, report any maintenance issues, adhere to health and safety protocols, and ensure the workplace is clean and waste correctly segregated.
• Foster strong team collaboration, especially with production and warehouse stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Capability to work a 4-cycle shift roster.
• Valid forklift license required for operating forklifts and related machinery.
• Experienced in using power and hand tools as well as warehouse machinery.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively, multitask, coordinate with various internal teams, and maintain strong health and safety awareness.

Preferred Criteria

• Previous experience specifically in material handling or warehousing roles.
• Health and safety certification is advantageous.

• Reporting any safety or compliance concerns promptly to management.

• Work setting typically characterized by loud noise levels.

Compensation and Benefits

Basic annual salary is €31,957.55 with total pay including shift and Sunday premiums reaching €39,307.79.
