Position Summary

The Mat Roller is responsible for processing and preparing clean mats for loading and delivery to customers. The role may also involve handling additional products such as mops, shop towels, facility service items, and fender covers. This position requires adherence to safety and efficiency standards while maintaining quality and cleanliness in the work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport clean mat carts to the rolling area for processing.
• Unload and inspect mats for quality assurance before rolling them.
• Sort and load mats into carts for storage, routing, or trucking purposes.
• Process various other products including mops, shop towels, and fender covers for load preparation and storage.
• Move loaded or empty carts and bins around the production facility as required.
• Operate forklift machinery when needed.
• Consistently comply with efficiency and safety protocols.
• Follow instructions provided by supervisors carefully.
• Maintain tidiness in the assigned work area.
• Perform additional production tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to accurately recognize colors and sizes, count items, and sort materials.
• Skill in inspecting and grading products according to established standards.
• Ability to carry out physical requirements including lifting up to 60 lbs and performing tasks that involve standing, walking, pulling, pushing, and reaching throughout the entire shift.
• Understand and follow supervisory directions.

Physical and Environmental Considerations

• The job entails heavy physical activity such as continuous standing, reaching overhead, stooping, pulling, lifting, and pushing within an industrial laundry production area.
• Work environment includes exposure to machinery, temperature fluctuations, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.

• Hourly compensation is set at $18.54.
