Master & Reference Data Management Consultant

Job Overview

The Master & Reference Data Management (MDM/RDM) Consultant is tasked with deploying, setting up, and maintaining Informatica MDM and RDM solutions to ensure trustworthy and consistent master and reference data across the enterprise. The role demands expertise in creating data models, governance protocols, and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Informatica MDM and RDM platforms effectively.
• Design and uphold enterprise data models for master and reference data sets.
• Oversee critical data domains such as Customers, Products, Suppliers, Vendors, Assets, and Organizational Data.
• Develop rules for data matching, merging, survivorship, and Golden Record creation.
• Enforce data governance controls, steward workflows, and approval processes.
• Facilitate data quality procedures including profiling, validation, cleansing, and remediation.
• Configure frameworks for hierarchy and relationship management as well as reference data governance.
• Integrate MDM solutions with ERP, CRM, databases, and analytic systems.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to establish governance standards and business rules.
• Track and report on master data quality metrics and governance KPIs.
• Support initiatives related to data migration, synchronization, and consolidation.
• Create technical documents, mapping specs, governance manuals, and operational models.
• Assist enterprise-wide Data Governance and Data Management programs.
• Provide troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support for MDM/RDM platforms.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Data Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications including Informatica MDM, CDMP, or Data Governance credentials.
• At least 5 years working with Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, or Enterprise Data Governance.
• Hands-on experience implementing Informatica MDM solutions and defining governance frameworks.
• Proven expertise integrating enterprise applications and managing data quality tools.
