Job description
Role Overview
Comfortech Building Performance Solutions, home to well-known brands such as Pink®Batts®, invites applications for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee its Penrose manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the site's safe, efficient, and dependable operation while providing leadership to roughly 50 employees, including 9 direct reports across Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all facets of the Pink®Batts® manufacturing process.
- Promote and drive a robust safety culture, overseeing Health, Safety & Environment performance at the site.
- Achieve production, quality, service, and cost objectives.
- Lead and nurture an experienced multidisciplinary team encompassing manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and logistics.
- Oversee site budgeting, plant operations, asset reliability, and operational risk.
- Foster positive relationships with union representatives, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Serve as a vital member of senior leadership while contributing to operational strategy development.
Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or operational environments.
- Demonstrates a visible and active commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the aptitude to coach, develop, and empower teams.
- Experience managing multiple functions such as production, maintenance, engineering, and logistics.
- Sound commercial insight and a track record of managing operational performance effectively.
- Excellent proficiency in stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Confidence to interact with and challenge senior management thoughtfully.
- A continuous improvement orientation and passion for operational excellence.
