Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will lead engineering efforts to ensure safe, efficient, and quality manufacturing for gas turbine auxiliary skids and modular systems. This role emphasizes manufacturing readiness, process advancement, and continuous improvement to achieve production excellence and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct manufacturing engineering for gas turbine auxiliary system components including piping, mechanical assembly, electrical, and instrumentation.
  • Assess engineering documentation to confirm production preparedness and accuracy.
  • Create and update Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM), production routings, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Formulate make-or-buy decisions, collaborating closely with sourcing and planning groups.
  • Verify coherence among engineering design drawings, materials requisitions, and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical support on the shop floor by addressing issues and facilitating prompt resolutions.
  • Work with Operations, Quality, Planning, and Materials departments to maintain smooth production workflows and remove bottlenecks.
  • Lead root cause analyses for manufacturing and quality challenges using RCA, 8D, 4D methods.
  • Champion Build-in-Quality (BIQ) implementations and Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
  • Assist in functional testing and inspection preparations.
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, client needs, and international standards including ASME, API, ISO, ATEX, IECEX, and UL.
  • Contribute to manpower planning, capacity evaluations, and manufacturing readiness for upcoming projects.
  • Determine training requirements for production teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers and shop-floor personnel.
  • Engage actively in LEAN initiatives and utilize Six Sigma methodologies to enhance processes.
  • Implement cost and cycle time reductions through process improvements.
  • Lead productivity enhancement activities and participate in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) measures within the work area.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Up to 5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or allied industrial operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, MBOM, routing, work instructions, and execution on the factory floor.
  • Familiarity with international norms such as ASME, API, ISO, ASTM, ATEX, UL, FM, and IECEX.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia without requiring company sponsorship or limitations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree specialization preferably in Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools, specifically NX Siemens.
  • Hands-on experience with gas turbine auxiliary system manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or substantial experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge and application of Build-in-Quality (BIQ) methods and operational excellence.
  • Experience with welding, piping fabrication, inspection, and testing protocols.
  • Strong execution focus, process discipline, and operational thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and project management.
