Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Video Programming Manager will be accountable for researching, reviewing, and assessing multimedia content to create compelling content proposals tailored to each airline’s distinct needs. This position involves close collaboration with clients during the content curation process, alongside coordination with in-house content operations and scheduling teams to guarantee smooth media management and delivery.

• Curate and strategize monthly inflight entertainment programs incorporating films, TV shows, and other content types.
• Collaborate with Stellar’s acquisition and programming teams to research licensing rights, pricing, and cost-saving opportunities while exploring advantageous commercial agreements.
• Maintain client satisfaction by daily communication to set and manage expectations for all programming-related initiatives.
• Conduct detailed content screenings to ensure content appropriateness aligning with airline guidelines and prepare comprehensive content reports for client approval.
• Manage content proposals by inputting relevant metadata into the content management database and keeping the content library current.
• Create content schedules and documentation supporting media operations teams, including coordinating marketing approvals and acquiring assets from studios and distributors.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, distributors, and other stakeholders, overseeing content lifecycle implementation.
• Support quality control efforts through media troubleshooting and, when necessary, travel to perform onsite rack tests.
• Actively assess and enhance internal programming workflows to boost efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Serve as a dedicated ambassador for Stellar and its clients, delivering presentations and customer service at exemplary standards.
• Utilize internal analytics and third-party data sources like Parrot Analytics to guide programming decisions, track content performance trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to airline clients and internal teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Arabic is a mandatory requirement; applicants not meeting this will be excluded.
• Comprehensive understanding of the media and content landscape, both local and international.
• A strong passion for movies and TV with an awareness of varied audience interests and demographics.
• Capacity to manage external suppliers and deliverables across multiple international locations.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and content/database management systems.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
